PENDEKATAN CONTRUCTIVIS DALAM PEMBELAJARAN STATISTIK PENDIDIKAN

Abstrac

The aim of the research were to know the effect of teaching Education Statistic by using a Contructivism approach on students' Statistic achievement were compared with teaching Statistic by using a conventional approach. The research was conducted at STAIN Sjech M. Djamil Jambek Bukittinggi. The population of the research was the fourth smester students of STAIN Sjech M. Djamil Jambek Bukittinggi on 2008/2009. The kind of the research is quasi experiment block design. Two parallel classes were randomly selected. One class was used as an experimental class, and another class was used as a control class. Each class consisted of 27 students. The data were collected through administering Statistic test. The validity and reliability of the test were tested. The data were analysed by using t test and variance analysis. The results of the research showed that students who were taught by using the Constructivism approach had better Statistic leaming achievement than students who were taught by using a conventional approach at STAIN Sjech M. Djamil Jambek Bukittinggi.
